Vignesh is a dedicated and highly skilled Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Sports Physiotherapy, with a comprehensive background in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and optimizing sports performance. Vignesh qualified with a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from SRM University, India (2017), followed by a master’s degree in Sports Physiotherapy (2020). His education laid the foundation for a career focused on advanced MSK and sports rehabilitation, posture correction, injury prevention, pain management and performance enhancement.
With over 7 years of clinical experience, Vignesh has had the privilege of working in diverse settings, from private practices to high-performance sports environments. He spent two years in a Sports injury Rehabilitation Clinic, where he treated a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, sports-related conditions, and post-operative cases.
In 2022, Vignesh moved to the Maldives, where he has served as the head Senior MSK & Sports Physio of the Physiotherapy Department and in a private healthcare clinic, for three years. Over this period, he specialised in treating a wide range of injuries such as back/neck pain, joint, muscle, ligament and tendon injuries, postural and work-related injuries, chronic pain and headaches, arthritis and neurological conditions.
Notably, during this time, Vignesh also had the honour of working with the Maldives National Cricket and Football Teams, providing injury management, recovery support, and performance optimisation strategies. This experience reinforced his ability to manage complex injuries in high-pressure, competitive environments.
Vignesh takes a patient-centred, holistic approach to rehabilitation, combining evidence-based practices with advanced manual therapies and exercise interventions.
