- Optimise your sporting performance.Sports massages are deep tissue massages. This can be helpful for relieving knots which build up in your muscles from being over worked. Sports massage focus on the muscles which become over worked due to the type of sport which you are playing. We usually feel muscle stiffness after a long training session and in some cases this can be settled by stretching. However, if you feel that you have on going stiffness from sport it would be advisable to have a sports massage at the clinic with one of our physiotherapists who may be able to offer you further information about your concern. Your chartered physiotherapist can offer you advise post treatment as to appropriate stretches you may need to do to help alleviate stiffness post exercise. The more you maintain good flexibility and core strength the less likely you will suffer with post sport stiffness. So remember to stretch before you train!

Cranial base release is ideal for those who suffer with headaches and tension built up from deskwork and prolonged sitting.The neck and cranial base muscles work inunison to support the head against gravity. Poor posture causes extra tension in these structure and can lead to neck pain, headaches, blurred vision, jaw pain and ear aches. Cranial base release is a gentle to deep form of massage using trigger point pressure to release the cranial base and neck.
